Alone and palely loitering

It is amazing how ‘nervous’ wildlife adapts to the presence of people and traffic. I spotted this heron from the road bridge over the Water of Leith beside the Old Customs House. – lots of people walking past as well as a regular procession of buses, trucks and cars.

 

 

 

Recommendations

La Tête en Friche/My Afternoons with Margueritte was one of the films shown by Ayr Film Society. All I can say is don’t mind the sub-titles and see it if you can.

I’ve just finished reading this book which was lent to me – so no you can’t borrow it from me. I am not giving any clues to the content, but I’d suggest you try to get your hands on a copy and read it.

Also finished reading ‘Lewis Man’, the second in the trilogy. Worth the read.

Arran Weather

The Isle of Arran has a series of micro-climates which means the weather can vary from that of the surrounding mainland as well as change frequently itself. I’ve posted these three photographs showing the sunset taken from the same spot in the same direction over three consecutive nights.
